The county road to the resort, (Paradise Road) has been repaved and is in very good condition. The resort entrance road goes off Paradise Road 5.5 miles from Highway 154 and is on the right. It is paved but narrow in spots. Please use caution.

Some GPS mapping software programs are not accurate for driving directions to Rancho Oso. The directions below are the most current, accurate information you will find and are geared toward RVers and those who may be towing trailers.

Elev is 1,137 ft. one mile from the Rangers Station.

Entry Road: Narrow 1-mile long entry road can accommodate all size vehicles and RVs. Please use caution.

From Santa Barbara and points south: Take Highway 101 north to the Highway 154 exit. Follow the signs for Highway 154 and go 12 miles to Paradise Road (Look for the Santa Ynez Recreation Area sign just before the right turn onto Paradise Road). Turn right on Paradise Road and drive 5.5 miles to the Rancho Oso entrance, on your right. (Note for RVs: Highway 154 winds uphill for 8 miles. There are passing lanes and turn-outs. Paradise Road is one mile past the vista point and is an abrupt DOWNHILL right turn.) Please exercise caution on the narrow entry road.
